Flat bread by @recipesformax
This is the most amazing way of making flat bread which goes well with anything from just butter or cheese to grilled chicken or pulled pork. It is very easy to make with only 2 (well, 3, to be precise) ingredients.
You need
- Wooden dough roller;
- Large non-stick pan;
- 200ml soared cream or Greek yogurt;
- 200gr “00” flour;
- 1 tsp baking powder;
- Mix the flour and baking powder.
- Add the cream and knead well.
- Divide the dough into 6 equal parts.
- Roll the dough to get circular pieces of around 15cm in diameter and 2mm thick (if you are in doubt check this).
- Heat the pan (no frying oil is needed (!)). Cook the flatbreads for 2-3 minutes, turning once.
- 300ml soured cream – £1.00
- 1kg “00” flour – £1.10
- 160g baking powder- £0.93
- Total basket £2.93 | Cost of ingredients (6 servings) £1.20 | Per serving £0.20
